Illustration Friday: 1980's Pac-man

Pac-man got the idea from Toru Iwatani by seaching for inspiration for a game character as a pizza with a slice missing from it. Toru wanted to create a game with mass appeal beyond the realms of the juvenile delinquent brigade. He wanted his game to appeal to children and women. The character was to be almost cartoon like with bright colors. Originally the game was christened Puckman, from the phrase pakupaku, which means to flap one's mouth open and close. The game was a massive hit in Japan almost instantly. Bally/Midway decided to bring the game to America. The deal with Namco was done, but one request was made. A name was change. So Pac-man came into being. The game was not complicated, but back in the 1980's it brought up some challenges for the designers. It took 15 months with 8 people working on it, but their perseverance was rewarded when within the first year over 100,000 machines were sold. Today the game is the best selling video game in history.

Illustration Friday: invention

For my invention I already got an invention. In 7th grade the class had to make a new invention to make something easier to use. For me I made pencil earrings because I always forget to bring or lose my pencil. But when I use my pencil earring I know where the pencil is. In my ears. I had to draw the idea, what it is used for, and precent the idea to the class. Plus I did a thing to keep the lead in one ear. Hope you like the invention?!

Red ribben week is when the school tries to tell you to be yourself and don't take drugs or smoke. We all know if we smoke, you see it in tabacco commercial. You see it in signs so "please " don't smoke! I'm not!

Illustration Friday: Wind

Hi fans,

I was so busy over the months.

On the summer I went to Florida to visit my grandma for a month. I went to Disney world, St. Augustine, the landings, and went to Fernadino Beach. It was fun! I went swimming a lot.

On June I went to get an MRI, because I got scoliosis and I have to wear a back brace for 2-3 years. I’m getting use to it. Scoliosis is when your spine curves.
